Description/Characteristics
The 3Mt B2 Security Strips are designed to be
placed between the pages of books or magazines.
Security strips on protected items must be properly
desensitized so the items can be carried through the
detection system without causing an alarm.
Security Strip Application
The 3M B2 security strips should be applied and
stored away from areas which are readily accessible to
patrons.
Security strips should be applied only to surfaces
which are flat, clean, dry and at room temperature. For
maximum adhesion, minimize touching the adhesive
surface of the security strips.
Installation in Books
1. Open the book to a page with a m argin wide
enough that the security strip will not cover the
printing.
Avoid pages where the book opens naturally.
Do not open the book wide enough that it will
open to this page again.
2. Remove the short liner from the security strip.
