Security Strip Application
Security strips should be applied only to surfaces
which are flat, clean, dry and at room temperature. For
maximum adhesion, minimize touching the adhesive
surface of the security strips.
Never leave a desensitizer unattended. Access
to a desensitizer may allow your security sys-
tem to be defeated.

Books
Magazines
All general items excluding recorded magnetic
media.
Exceptions
Keep credit cards, recorded magnetic media
(audio tapes, video tapes or computer disks)
and stem-wind and self-wind wrist watches at
least six inches [150 mm] away from the 3M
Model 2004 surface to prevent magnetic dam-
age.
A yellow warning label is supplied by 3M and
should be secured on or near the 3M Model
2004 to advise customers of potential damage
to recorded magnetic media.
Keep a minimum of 12 inches ffom computers
and computer displays (CRTs).
Security Strip Storage Conditions
Store security strips at 50° -- 9 0 °F[10° -- 3 2 °C] and at
20 -- 70% relative humidity.
Store security strips in a clean area and out of direct
sunlight. Rotate stock.
Store security strips at least two feet [0,6 m] away
from the M odel 2004.
